Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
In-person in Denver • Online in CO, ID & FL
You know you need something different out of therapy.
You’ve done therapy before. You’ve gained insight, connected past to present, and learned the tools. Yet you still feel stuck. The same thought loops drag you down, leaving you tired, frustrated, and losing hope. Understanding isn’t enough. Now you need something that truly creates change.
You’re ready to stop feeling…
Frustrated by surface-level solutions to deep-rooted pain
Disconnected despite years of self-awareness
Overwhelmed by patterns that logic alone can’t touch
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) in practice.
KAP is a legal, fast-acting, and evidence-based therapeutic modality used to treat a variety of mental health conditions.
-
Ketamine works by blocking NMDA receptors and activating AMPA receptors in the brain. This boosts neuroplasticity, which is your brain’s ability to form new neural connections. As a result, it can help regulate mood, reduce stress, and create space for emotional change.
The real transformation happens when ketamine is combined with psychotherapy. In a KAP session, my role is to help you process what came up, make sense of the experience, and integrate it into your daily life. That’s what helps the shift feel sustainable and meaningful.
-
Most clients find the ketamine experience calming, expansive, or quietly transformative. The effects typically last around 45 minutes. You may feel a sense of detachment from your body or begin to view things from a new perspective.
Since movement and speech are usually reduced, you'll lie down comfortably while I hold space for whatever comes up. Afterward, we’ll spend time reflecting together, helping you make meaning of the experience. Many clients describe feeling clearer, more grounded, and emotionally relieved in the days that follow.
-
Fast relief from anxiety and depression
Processed trauma with depth and safety
Unlocked stuck emotional patterns
Increased mental flexibility and emotional openness
Meaningful insight and self-awareness
Spiritual or existential growth
Therapy that feels more alive, embodied, and connected
My Approach
Safe Exploration. Real Integration.
Considering KAP often reflects readiness for change. Screening and intake clarify if this path fits your needs while being transparent about what treatment involves. If it feels right, we focus on your intentions, preferences, and comfort. Elements like music, space, and pacing help create support. From the start, the process invites curiosity, collaboration, and trust in your inner wisdom.
While ketamine sessions can be powerful, lasting change usually comes through integration. This is when insights weave into a deeper understanding of your life. The brain’s increased neuroplasticity supports healthier habits and emotional flexibility. Recovery is strengthened by tending to areas most impacted by depression, anxiety, or trauma. Small, steady steps build resilience, growth, and a renewed sense of possibility.
YOU’RE ALLOWED TO WANT MORE
Sometimes healing begins not with striving, but with rest. KAP creates space to slow down, listen, and reconnect with what your system already knows.

The Process
01
Submit an Interest Form
Start by filling out this short screening form to help determine whether KAP is a good fit. It takes about 5 minutes.
02
Free 15-Minute Consultation
We'll connect by phone to talk through your goals and answer any questions. If we're a good match, we'll discuss next steps including completing your intake forms and establishing care with a prescribing provider.
03
Medical consultation
You'll meet with a prescribing provider to review your health history and, if approved, receive your ketamine prescription. I work closely with Andrew Nagy, PMHNP-BC at National Mental Health, who accepts many major insurance plans, and can offer additional referrals as needed.
04
Intake & Preparation Session
We'll meet for 1.5 hours to build our foundation, set intentions, and prepare you for your first dosing session. Full package payment is due at booking intake and preparation following medical clearance. Additional preparation sessions are available if needed.
05
Dosing Sessions
Each dosing session is 2.5 hours. We spend about 20 minutes getting comfortable before you self-administer the medicine. Following your ketamine experience, which lasts around 45-60 minutes, we reflect, process, and begin integrating what came up, all within the same session.
06
Standalone Integration Sessions
Optional but available between dosing sessions for deeper processing. These sessions help you make meaning of your experience, identify patterns, and carry insights into your daily life.
07
Medical Follow-Up
Your prescribing provider will check in throughout treatment to monitor your response and adjust as needed.

Yes, KAP can be integrated with EMDR. Many clients find that ketamine enhances access to emotions and memories, allowing EMDR to go deeper and feel more connected. The two approaches can work together quite well.
-
KAP may offer rapid relief from symptoms, deeper self-awareness, and a more balanced mood. Like any treatment, it also carries risks. These can include short-term side effects such as nausea, dizziness, increased blood pressure, or altered perception. Because ketamine has the potential for misuse, it should only be used under the care of a qualified professional.
While most people experience impactful change after KAP, it does not guarantee results.
